I can relate to both of you. Even though I grew tired of the lifestyle(haha, girlfriend is a lifestyle) I had for almost 8 years when it was over my brain couldn't just transform. Everything had a pattern. Then there was no structure. Almost like I could've functioned normally being broken up even if my ex was fucking someone else just as long as we fell asleep in the same bed. I spent almost a year waking up, goin to work, coming home, and going to sleep. My only comfort was our son. It kept me focused. But, that was every other day now opposed to everyday. Gets pretty lonely when you have a purpose everyday then it turns to here and there. I'm in love with a girl now and just got keys to our new place today. I may or may not be making a great decision but I'm doin it. I'm goin to Lake George with her, goin to Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course for a couple days. My ex woulda never done that. I win. |
