The dude who opened sang with electronic beats he wrote that ranged from heavy double bass paterns and industrial sounds, to new-Madonna sounding techno.. all the while singing with a voice somewhere between Early G&R and At the Drive In, very different, and cool. Hera was sweet as hell. Good, solid, rocking black metal. It was good to see Max again, Ookla the Mok was one of my favs back then. Nobody Cares (Seth) did a great job booking the show, and really impressed me on stage. I really feel stupid saying this, but i usually don't give white hip hop dudes the benefit of the doubt due to how many terrible ones i've heard. He surprised me, good flow, good lyrical content, and good energy. Tight. |

All the acts are friends of mine, but were wildly different from one another. Brandon Miles I just met, and I really dig what he's doing. He really had a good time. HYEO was really tight, you all sounded great. The drum mix was very clear, Nick you are a monster with 3 cabs, and Rusty was fierce as always. It was a joy to watch. Hera is good bros of mine and I wish they played out more, I could see them on some bills with other good black/death in the area. Brzowski is a Portland homie and he's been far and wide so it was good to have a veteran like that on my show. He said it was the best NH show he's played. Homeless was my tourmate last year and he always kills it. Very hard working and the kid tours like its his job. It was also Eyenines bands 1st show and I think they did well. All in all in all I couldn't be happier, everyone enjoying all the music, no matter what type. Jimma the sound guy is the best sound guy you will find, always looking out for the bands. Thanks to everyone, this show made my summer complete. I may do something in the future there, along the same idea. |
