How to clone winxp to another hard drive (Clonzilla/Hiren's Boot CD)[views:8849][posts:12]______________________________________ [Jul 28,2009 1:04pm - the_reverend ""] you need to download and burn 2 things: 1) Clonzilla http://clonezilla.org/download/sourceforge/ 2) Hiren's Boot CD http://www.hirensbootcd.net/ connect the new drive to your PC via USB or whatever and boot off clonzilla. Make a local to local copy. 320Gb took me 3.5hrs. If it asks you, yes copy the boot whatevers. install the new drive (removig the old drive) and boot in to windows and make sure all is AOK. It will find the new drive as new hardware. then boot from the hiren's CD. Partiontools Partition Magic resize your partition and apply. it took 50 minutes for 320GB to 500GB. boot into windows and make sure everything is AOK. you are welcome. |
