I often make fun of metalcore and don't consider it straight up Metal. Though it is a cousin of Metal. Alot of Metal I listen to has classical (movie score quality really, not the chipper classical mush.) elements and I'm sure in the early days of Heavy metal much of classical music was probably frowned upon by the young counter culture brats of the time. Now it's the deep or mature and european thing to do. listen to classical here and there. hah. But to my ears Jonh williams is pretty fucking "metal" sometimes. What makes my music better than yours? I like it more. That's pretty much it. |
