They're trying to emulate reality more and more as each year passes. With the better engines coming out each year, we're going to have video (virtual) realities soon. The real video game era died out around 2000-2001. The newage of video gaming is only going to result in virtual realities, which to me, doesn't justify it as a "game" per se, but rather an emulated reality for entertainment purposes. That's why 8 and 16 bit systems will always dominate as the true "video games" and not emulated realities. I like using my imagination, not being sucked into someone else's. |

Thats what I would play in Gears 2, the "Horde" mode where you and a team just kill shit in waves over and over. It's just insanely addictive like the nazi zombie thing in COD:WaW. Thats why I want to pick up Left 4 dead. Looks like alot fun online. |
