If you saw Emperor before Y2K, you'll remember their live keyboardist and the mastermind behind Tartaros; one Mr. Charmand Grimloch. Personally, I don't think IX Equilibrium or Prometheus are bad albums, but Tartaros captures that disorienting and symphonic sound of later Emperor, while still remaining rooted in Black Metal.
