Gretzky was an amazing talent. you could take away all of his goals and his assists alone would still make him the leading point scorer of all time.
There's definitely an argument for bobby orr. keep in mind that he played only 8 full seasons, with the rest of his career spent fighting nagging injuries. he ranks 4th all time in points per game. the next defenseman ranked is paul coffey at 25th. he revolutionized the defenseman position and was the most dominant player ever when he was at his best.

defenseman weren't really supposed to score before bobby orr came along. their job was to help the goalie and move the puck to the forwards. bobby did everything.

i used to watch hockey in the late 80's with my dad and grandfather on NESN back in the day and TV38 it was worth watching back then. i've havent watched hockey in years

I'm a huge O'Reilly fan because he didn't take any shit, and the Bruins ARE Terry O'Reilly's legacy. Terry gave them their never quit, and fight, fight, fight attitude. It helps that Zdeno Chara is such an incredible fighter, but man, Taz just got in there and threw punches.
