Los Angeles, California-based based progressive death metallers THE FACELESS will perform their entire new album, "Planetary Duality", live on their upcoming co-headline run with DYING FETUS.

Commented guitarist Michael Keene: "I think this is going to be the best THE FACELESS performance anyone has caught to date. You can expect a few older songs in there as well and we're going to try and make this set a very unique experience for everyone who's coming. Don't miss this one!"

The tour is scheduled to kick off on November 14 in Seattle, Washington. A list of dates can be found at this location.

"Planetary Duality" sold around 5,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 119 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD debuted at No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

An e-card for "Planetary Duality" can be found at this location. The CD was released on November 11, 2008 via Sumerian Records.

Regarding the concept of the new record, Keene previously said, "There are a lot of underlying themes within the album title, the idea that these inter-dimensional beings are from another planet similar to our own and a lot of the development on earth is directly related to their influence. There is also the other layer of it, the idea that we're only aware of the one dimension we exist in but there's more to our planet than that."

Other songtitles that appear on the CD include "The Ancient Covenant", "Xenochrist" and the two-part title track, "Planetary Duality Pt. 1" and "Planetary Duality Pt. 2". Speaking on the meaning of "The Ancient Covenant", Keene said, "'The Ancient Covenant' is about an agreement between man and the inter-dimensional beings, sort of similar to the rules of engagement so to speak, between these two life forms."

THE FACELESS' debut album, "Akeldama", was released in 2006 via Sumerian Records.

I heard they were playing "Planetary Duality" in it's entirety but I wasn't sure if this was a rumor or not. That's pretty fucking sweet this has been validated.

I don't understand a few things:

Why are there so many locals?
Why does the show start so damn early on a friday? I'll barely be on time for our set.
Why the hell am I selling 40 tickets for a goddamn 20 minute set? (this one goes with question number one-less bands=longer sets).

The second one I can get over because I've seen almost all of the locals a million times (especially DTC, Conforza and Hivesmasher, but I'm honestly a little pissed that we had to sell 40 tickets for a goddamn 20 minute set.

So the the local bands will have to sell a total of 280 tickets to play this show for 20mins each band?? So what is the promoters job again??

I'm not talking shit, I'm just trying to make sense out of it. Nashua shows never had 7 local bands or made bands sell tickets to play. They did just fine. They also paid every band that played no matter who they were. Just think it might be kinda greedy on Daves part.

There's already 5 nationals touring together. Not knocking any locals, but there was no need for them at all. Just my two cents.

any show with both The Faceless and Dying Fetus should do just fine without any locals having to sell ticketsat all, let alone 40....not ripping on how anyone does business, but I do think it seems a little overboard

I think i made it clear that this would be a "black friday fest" before i booked every band. The bands at the begining of the show are younger and dont have school plus i made them aware that they would be opening the show.

The reason for the high tix here is because well the tour is expensive and the show is expensive, I am bringing in a sound company plus a stage plus the tour is not cheap. With the tickets the show is not even payed for. I still need about 100 people to attend to break even.

Say what you will, Rocko's is still there and gives a lot of bands opportunities to play. I do the same thing that every other promoter does, Except for the few promoters that are not in business anymore.

I am trying to bring in good tours to NH, sorry if it comes with a price.

Steve i tried to get locals 25 minutes, Unfortunately it was not approved.

I am definetely not greedy, You should see where i live and the car i have, I do this because I love it. I have 4 kids so i try not to loose too much money on shows.
Most people have this day off. If it was a normal friday i would not be starting so damn early.

I'm not trying to argue here, but you say you try to not lose too much money on shows, yet this tour is so expensive that you have 7 bands selling 40 tickets/band at $15/ticket (that's what I paid if memory serves me right), which according to you means you still need 100 more people to show to break even...if it costs THAT much, why take that tour? I understand its a huge show, but if you need almost $6000 (if my math is right) to break even without having much of your own money to make up for any difference there might be, it seems that might be a smart one to pass up on

again, I'm not looking for a fight, I'm just trying to understand

well, I'm just saying, it would make more sense for you to pass up on this one if you need that much to just break even

not that I know, but its most likely that The Faceless would come back around on a tour that would be cheaper to book

btw, what's the capacity of Rocko's?....380 (7 bands times 40 tickets = 280 + 100 more) paying attendees seems a bit much when you factor in all the people in the bands

Just my 2 cents. Dave has never wronged Astronomer, we have never sold tickets, we have been paid gas money, and he has put us on some sweet shows. I realize for awhile our ex-guitarist worked for him, but that really didn't have much to do with shows we got on. Most times he'd request us to sell tickets and we would decline, then he's offer us a sweet show where we could open and not sell tickets.

I don't always agree with ways other promoters do things. If you don't like the way a promoter does business no one is forcing you to go to their shows or sell tickets to play.

Now I await people to bash me for defending Dave.

ps. $5.00 shows ftw.

We never sold tickets for a Rocko's show. We sold for one show....back when we were still in our very early stages and we decided then we most likely would not sell tickets again.

As I said if you don't want to sell them, then don't play shows that require ticket sales. I know that shows that require ticket sales will have national touring acts....but then you ask yourself if it's worth the trouble of trying to move tickets. If it is worth the time to sell the tickets then go for it.

With that said I will be there, and I will be enjoying myself.

oh ps. I wouldn't have a problem with selling tickets if there is no commitment to sell them, and they are sold as more of a convenience(sp?) for your friends to get in a show that may otherwise sell out.
