| ______________________________ [Jan 14,2010 3:23pm - Yeti ""] so after listening to this several times, i have to say overall i'm disappointed. it has all the right elements, the production is nice and organic, but it just feels empty. it seems like it was Immortal trying to be Immortal, as opposed to Immortal trying to write a killer album. there are some really cool parts, but as a whole it's lackluster. it sounds like they didn't put a whole lot of effort into writing solid songs. i love the production, but if i'm going to listen to it, i might as well listen to At the Heart of Winter or Damned in Black instead. the same elements, the same people, but those albums have substance, and achieve something. |
