Ragnarock is so much better and more varied. Land has a couple good ones (including Hail to the Hammer again, it's like their Don't Fear the Reaper) but you're right about that. For some reason when they played the Palladium they thought it would be a good idea to sing a couple folk intros for 10 minutes before they really played. But Land came with a Wacken DVD, it really kicks ass, it reassured me that they were actually good live. I like Eric the Red the best out of their albums. |

| ___________________________________ [Nov 3,2009 10:40am - arktouros ""] Tyr is different, they actually sing Faroese folk songs which are wholly preserved Viking songs, rip a lot of lyrics from primary sources, with all the strange rhythms and melodies and in old tounges. Somehow they translate it to heavy metal and they're excellent musicians on top of that. I'll force you to check it out sometime. |
