back when the shield was in its last season and FX was hyping sons of anarchy, I viewed it as the inferior successor to the shield. it seemed like it was supposed to fill the action void that would be lost with the shield coming to a close and also attract professional wrestling fans and carnies. i was probably too quick to judge because a lot of people have been saying good things about it. i might have to give it a chance.

I thought the same thing, but I gave it a chance considering Kurt Sutter was often the writer of the better Shield episodes....I'm glad I did....but to warn anyone who's looking to get into it...the first episode is excellent, the next 3-5 epsiodes are kinda slow....then it picks up and just gets better and better from there
....kinda like what everyone has told me about The Wire lol

I want to get into this show so bad. Every time its on I want to sit and watch but then I don't out of fear I wouldn't get any of it. I've only seen like 4 episodes since its been out.

the first season is definitely worth your time, if for no other reason than to see why Clay and Jax are currently butting heads...with that said, most of what's happening now besides that started this season, so your not missing THAT much
