NEWS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Update from Brian:
"We are about to embark of the West Coast half of the tour with Every Time I Die and As I Lay Dying. Thanks to all of our fans who can out to the East Coast shows. You showed us the best time we have ever had on the road. We suspect that someone from another band on this tour put a dead possum on the windshield of our van, which I had the pleasure or removing. We have a pretty good idea who it was, so don't fret, we will top this. Watch out..."

**The Black Dahlia Murder will be on FUSE's Uranium on Monday night (4/12) so be sure to check it out! Check local listings for times.

Don't forget we have our video shoot coming up next week at Soma in San Diego, CA on April 15th. You'll definitely want to get out to this show and be part of our video." - Tim

CANNIBAL CORPSE Tour Update from Alex:
"Hey everyone, we're in Switzerland today, and we have just finished the show for the night. So far the festivals have been amazing, and tonight was no exception. All the bands on the tour are brutal as fuck, and they are definitely tough acts to follow, but we seem to be doing well so far. Tonight's gig was in one of Switzerland's best venues, the Z7 club. It's a huge place, and it's perfect for a festival tour like this. Tomorrow we'll be in Milan at a club called Alcatraz. I don't think we've ever played that venue before, I guess we'll see if we remember it when we get there. It should be a killer show; all the Italian shows we've done in the past have been rippers. OK, that's all for now, we'll check in later in the tour. Thanks to everybody who's come to the No Mercy festivals so far, you rule!"

THE HEAVILS Update from the band:
"Altogether, today was unexplainable. Words can only do so much for the experience today. Arriving and getting out of the van, only to look at the Haunted Furnace factory we were about to rock out. Just in time for Slipknot's sound check, we had the pleasure of checking that out. Then wandered around and took a bunch of band photos in the tunnels and pipe fixtures of the plant. The place has a pretty wicked haunted history. All the other bands rocked house, and I do tend to believe the place was close to sold out, if not. Corey from Suspect rocked out on Touch and made it a killer song to end on. Possibly one of the coolest venues I've ever seen, atmosphere and all."

VADER
It's going to be a pretty hard-working year for Vader; the band will play over 160 shows in 2004! Recently the guys came back from a very successful tour through Slovakia/Czech Republic and now they are playing some gigs in Europe. In the middle of April Vader will play their first tour crossing through Eastern Europe, invading countries like Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia. In May the band will take a little break due to the recording session of their new album "The Beast"!! But only one week after the recordings end Vader is going to hit the road again, playing 10-12 gigs through Europe. On the 2nd of July the guys will play a gig in Istanbul (Turkey) and two days later at a festival in Geneva. Right after these gigs Vader will start another tour through the Balkans, playing 7 gigs in the following countries: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia. On the 24th of July the band will play at a festival in Domegliara, Italy.

On the 25th of August Vader will start their tour through Scandinavia, containing 14 shows in Sweden, Norway and Finland (we are still working on some Danish dates). After that Peter & Co. are going to play 3-4 gigs in RPA, Japan and Indonesia (6-7 dates). The Polish "Blitzkrieg 2" tour has been postponed to October and runs through 18.10. Two weeks later the band is going to start another trip through US, right after that tour, VADER will participate on the "X-Mass Festival 2004"...Dates will follow!!

Update from JOEY VERA:
As most of you have already heard, Armored Saint/Fates Warning bassist Joey Vera will be going on tour with Anthrax filling in for the recently departed Frank Bello. The band has asked Joey to do their upcoming tour of Japan and Australia, which they had booked for some time. Joey's jammed a couple of times already with guitarist Scott Ian, going over the songs they've asked him to learn and it's going very well.

For the complete list of dates for the tour please go to the bands website http://www.anthrax.com/

In other news: The new Armored Saint DVD is now done and coming out on Tuesday May 4, 2004 through Metal Blade Records.

Titled Armored Saint Magazine: Lessons Not Well Learned, the DVD features an hour long feature which includes 12 never seen before bootleg videos, a host of off-stage silliness, a brand new video for Symbol of Salvation, Reign of Fire Video, Last Train Home video, a rare promotional video clip, a new photo gallery, several blooper reels and a view into one of our really exciting sound checks. The DVD also comes with a bonus audio disc of a live concert the band performed in 1984 on their very first tour ever. Classic young Saint with Dave Prichard. Be sure to check your stores, the Saint website http://www.armoredsaint.com/ or http://www.metalblade.com/ around early May.

As for Fates Warning, recording will begin in late April and continue through June. Joey plans on recording his parts sometime during that schedule.

And Joey's had to put the Seven Witches record on hold until May/June so he can do the tour with Anthrax. This is when being in several bands gets a little chaotic! But luckily the guys and the label are being cool.

Metal.

Doug stood in with Eric Tatuaca's band "eLectrPsonic_ecstAsy" @ the SXSW music Conference in Austin, Texas on March 19th. Eric, you might remember, was the drummer for Doug's Poundhound tour. Eric sent over some thoughts about the gig and Jerry's album:

"Jerry's record dude... insane. Heard it at Doug's a few weeks back. A WHOLE BUNCHA singer/songwriters gonna slice dem wrists when they hear this masterpiece... by no stretch... its a massssssive masterpiece. Good lawd.

"Doug came up and played in my group, eLectrPSonic_ecstAsy during the SXSW music Conference last week. Killed it. People lost their minds dude. Our set started at 3:45am and went til 5am...people in the 'press' are slow - they didn't really post info publicly about it... but fans loved it... as did Doug... he said he'd love to be part of anything I can book anytime... so, unofficially as I can say, DPinnick is my new bassist :)"
