Last year Lowell had some pretty good offensive efforts and is now gone (yeah you can argue age, defense, and injury), Ortiz is coming off his worst season as a member of the team, Bay isn't coming back (who obviously replaced Manny as a huge part of our offense) etc. Don't get me wrong we still have some great bats here but I think they're gonna need at least one or two more reliable hitters to truly contend. |
