I only turn the master volume up to about 4 for most gigs and band practice sessions (with the channel volume at about 7) and it is very loud. I'm pretty happy with the tone but it sounds much better at this volume than it does at volumes that I'm comfortable practicing alone with imo. Are there any low power heads or tube combos that you would recommend? |

I know epiphone is coming out with the valve senior, which will have separate gain and eq knobs but I have no clue how gainy it really gets. Don't the triple XXXs have a power cut switch or am I mistaken? Also, would you be interested In direct recording options? |

I have one of those old POD 2.0 s which gets the job done but it's a little uninspiring to me. I don't know that I'd use it for anything other than demos for my own consumption. I have some experience using a friend's copy of Guitar Rig....pretty nice actually but I had better results recording with my half stack. I can get by with the POD for now...no immediate need, but I saw the hotplate on Craigslist and was curious. |
