I just think it's funny they never had anything like this for katrina but as soon as Haiti happened the same day all these cell phone companies came out with cool ways to donate money by pressing numbers, they even got a celebrity too! It just seems stupid to give so much money to a failing state, they were already poor and destitute before, mother nature just decided to do it all in one swoop rather than do it the old fashioned way with malaria and malnutrition. |

It's called human compassion. I know, it's not COOL, but some of us have it. I love that this country helps when disaster strikes, it is one of the rare occasions I am not ashamed of my country.
