lol wut? tanks originated from WWI. I dont see why there aren't any WWI games, because in certain situations it was far more intense and brutal than any other war in human history.

Yup, tanks started in WWI. Here it is. The British invented the tank during the great war. A lot of the tank crews got very sick in the tanks due to carbon monoxide. The tank went a whopping 4 MPH.

Red Baron. Great mystery surrounds his death. I remember something like how people believe it was a stray bullet from the ground that got him. He was untouchable.. How many planes did he shoot down? 50? 100?
Now we have an epic pizza in his name.

when i was in college, someone broke into our place and stole a bunch of stuff, including our tv and all the red baron pizzas i had in the freezer. i was more pissed about the pizzas than the tv.

Someone needs to make a solid wwi movie. A story about the red baron would be sweet. But oh no, he's German, that's bad. We can't make movies about the enemy.. That's so not PC!

a good WWI movie is "The Trench". Takes place entirely inside a trench. You dont really even see the sky for the entire movie. Except for the last 30 seconds or so where they charge over the top of the trench and then all die. oh shit i gave away the ending.

They fucked up the video so bad anyways though. Look at what they're wearing. Those uniforms are from the 1910's. WWI took place in the early 1800's.

do you hate google or just love being wrong?
Credit for the invention of the submarine is given to William Bourne, a British mathematician and ex-Royal Navy gunner who published a design in 1578. The first navigable submarine for which reliable construction data exists was built from this design in 1620 by Cornelius Jacobszoon Drebbel, a Dutch inventor in the employ of James I. Leonardo da Vinci conceptualized the submarine, and it is possible (probable) that others could have thought of the idea of an undersea vehicle, but the technology to put a working model in the water and safely and effectively operate it didn't come along for over a century following Leonardo.

olland continued to improve his designs and worked on several experimental boats, prior to his successful efforts with a privately built type, launched on 17 May, 1897. This was the first submarine having power to run submerged for any considerable distance, and the first to combine electric motors for submerged travel and gasoline engines for use on the surface. She was purchased by the U.S. Navy (on 11 April, 1900) after rigorous tests and was commissioned on 12 October, 1900 as USS Holland. Six more of her type were ordered and built at the Crescent Shipyard in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The company that emerged from under these developments was called The Electric Boat Company, founded on 7 February, 1899. Isaac Leopold Rice became the company's first President with Elihu B. Frost acting as vice president and chief financial officer.
