I said that because there is only a few interesting sections of some songs that have those "catchy" middle eastern guitars. That doesn't mean anything because It's heavy, fast and atmospheric. I agree that their sound is heavy and that's all I fucking hear, when I saw them live they were boring as hell...a lot of people there were even falling asleep. Melechesh brings a fresh more technical sound to the middle eastern style. The material is written far more complex, and you can hear that even if you listen to just one song for about 30 seconds in. I'm not talking just about the solos themselves, I'm talking about just the way the song is set up in general. You'd have to be a pretty talented guitarist to pull off their songs. I'm not trying to argue, everytime someone says Nile sucks, people get all offense..Nile is not worth fighting over at all. |

"Annihilation of the Wicked" was the reinvention of the band and that album remains to be a bar that most other metal bands simply can not pass. its just like the people that say Meshuggah is just all palm muted chugchug. people are entitled to their opinions, but please know you're wrong. |
