haha, experimentation has yet to take place, i will try to use my phone, we can give it a test before we go on or something, you think there will be a cable there i can use? otherwise i can bring one

I have the cable that goes from stereo minijack to L/R 1/4" plugs for the direct box. Using it to run our backing tracks from an iPod the night of the show, so I'll have it with me and you can borrow it. I tested it on a live call with my phone yesterday... there's some delay (obviously) and the voice sounds awful tinny, but it works.

Steve is still the chief sound man for Ralph's but they changed his hours at his day job & he can't do Thursday shows right now. New guy has 20 years experience, he's just getting used to the house system though. Steve wouldn't blink an eye if approached with "Hey man we're gonna have our bassist who's in Cleveland do backing rape vulture vocals over the phone" but this new guy probably has no idea what kind of crazy shit we come up with at Metal Thursday, hahaha...
