Hesser College[views:2634][posts:13]____________________________________ [May 12,2010 7:19pm - immortal13 ""] I don't know how many of you know anything about this school, but I've heard that the credits aren't really accepted for transfers. I was just wondering if any of you can confirm this before I go spend money and time that I would much rather not waste. |

You are prob better off at the NH Community Colleges (formerly known as NH Techs) in Nashua, Manch or Concord. I can vouch for those schools and credits transferring. |
_________________________________ [May 13,2010 1:54pm - reimroc ""] middlesex's credits are legit |
___________________________________ [May 13,2010 2:01pm - arktouros ""] be VERY wary of small private schools in general. |
____________________________________ [May 13,2010 2:37pm - arilliusbm ""] why go to school? |

____________________________________ [May 13,2010 4:28pm - sever nli ""] any state or federally helped school is fair game. a lot of private "degree" programs are worthless in the long run. |
____________________________________ [May 13,2010 6:22pm - immortal13 ""] I'm applying at middlesex. Not going to hesser. Heard to much negative shit about them. |
__________________________________________ [May 13,2010 8:29pm - pleasure corpse ""] I took a course at Hesser and had no problem transferring the credits. As long as the college is accredited, you're fine. |
__________________________________________ [May 13,2010 10:49pm - TheRidersofDoom ""] too many friends who went to hesser who never graduated. that school is a racket made to make you poor and not give you a degree. they constantly lay off teachers mid-semester, constantly change their schedules mid-semester, though more credits now transfer than they used to. |

Some colleges will just pull a money grab and come up with a bullshit excuse as to why the credits aren't acceptable, such as "even though this was the EXACT difficulty/content/meeting hours per week, we won't accept credits because they used the 7th edition of the book and we use the 9th." It's all a load of shit, really, but if you like to fight the power then you'll enjoy transferring credits. |
____________________________________ [May 14,2010 9:08am - arilliusbm ""] Wait so are you trying to get an associates or bachelors? Both are worthless these days, no offense. Gotta get your masters or above now. It sucks man. |
____________________________________ [May 14,2010 5:44pm - immortal13 ""] I'm just trying to get a degree in something, probably a bachelors, so when the economy comes back I can get a better job than a god damn mechanic. |
____________________________________ [May 14,2010 6:11pm - arilliusbm ""] Depending on what you major in, there's a slim chance you'll get a job in what you went to school for. Most companies are outsourcing basic jobs now. Computer jobs aren't as prolific as they were 10 years ago. I would suggest getting a degree in something related to database (SQL) shit. It's hot right now. DO NOT major in English communications. |
