Bands like this prove that heavy is not a tuning or how br00t4l your band is. Uriah heep was heaver than 95% of the death metal bands everywhere! |

Everything was 10x heaver live than on record which is exactly what i was hoping for. lady in black was something of a conundrum though. It is one of the best songs ever written IMHO. but when the band played it live it lacked the folky simplistic beauty that makes the song what it is. the crowd participation was epic and the song was played to perfection but it just didn't have the same effect that the song has on the album. the fact that this is my only criticism of this show should speak volumes of the set they played. sound in the club was amazing, the set the band played was precisely what i wanted to hear, give or take a song or two, and they fucking killed it. drink deeply from her words so wise, take courage from her as your prize and say hello for me........ |
