A BSOD reporting nv4_disp.dll doesnt automatically mean dead video card. Bad memory can cause all sorts of wacky problems. |

If it happens everytime then you can mess around with swapping the cards around and it should be obvious when it's fixed. But if it's a random BSOD then good luck. I diagnose shit like this all day and there's not much worse than when someone shows up with a computer and the only info they give me is "this weird blue screen flashes every couple days". It's almost impossible to figure out unless the minidump directly identifies a bad driver file. But even then, bad ram or a faulty motherboard can cause the video driver to throw a blue screen. You could always just pick a card and pull and then use your computer just as you would normally......if it still blue screens then swap the cards, if it still does it....then you may as well put both cards back in cause thats probably not the problem. |

I threw a Radeon HD5770 in it and it's actually a pretty slick gaming pc. Been playing Battlefield:Bad Company 2 on all high settings with all the HDR shit on at like 50fps no problem. So yeah i'll probably never build my own computer again. Just buy a decent one and throw a good video card in it. |
