Some people have compared it to the Birthday Party, which isn't really accurate, but it's much more spontaneous sounding and rock based than some of Nick Cave's other more recent stuff. I think that he plays guitar on the record...pretty primitive and noisy. I think I remember reading somewhere that he basically just got together with a few other musicians and wrote it in a weekend. |
