picks?
Anyone have a link for a stream?

Silva, Dos Santos, Guida, Hughes, Alves. Dos Santos is going to destroy Nelson, and Silva is going to stomp all over Sonnen with his hands behind his back and blindfolded.

Getting the feeling this is going to be Silva/Griffin all over again.

You mean Silva throwing an effortless jab that knocks him out?

I mean Sonnen running full speed at Silva who plays the counterstrike game like no one else in the world.

I want Silva to win but have to try this time. The guy is sick but I'd like to see some heart for once. Someone make Silva show some resiliance.
I'm picking Silva, Hughes, Guida, Fitch, Nelson by lay and pray. I like Dos Santos though

Am I the only one that's not impressed with Clay Guida?

Clay guida isn't very brutal but he's a workhorse and grinds dudes down. His wrestling is very impressive.

All of my picks except Alves won. That was a close call between Silva/Sonnen though.

Sonnen is for real and gets my respect. If anything he reiterates and emphasizes what giiiiiant pussies Thales Leites and Damian Maya are.

BUT

Silva is the best. Take a picture, write it down. THE BEST. I knew he was in trouble the minute I saw him walk away from his trainers to huge Steven fucking Segal. I was having flashbacks to the 07 superbowl when Brady broke stride to shake hands with some dipshit tv personality. I knew Sonnen was going to surprise him early and that there was no way he had taken that fight seriously enough. Watching the first 4 rounds of that was absolutely painful. My friend, who thinks MMA is the most idiotic thing invented, jumps on the Sonnen bandwagon hard and is harassing the shit out of me while Silva is getting worked over on the ground.

Outside the first round Sonnen's ground work was a lot of wasted efforts. He settled for a lot of shitty strikes instead of trying to pass Silva's guard. Granted Silva was just hanging on a lot of the time on the ground. He kept going for that neutral neck tie-up and high guard that's only effective for a minute. A lot of the more devastating strikes from the ground were Silva's. He snuck a few really nice elbows in, and a few straight punches from the guard. Altogether it was a really puzzling fight and had me thinking through most of it that Silva was just trying to take a dive and get out of fighting at 185.

I lost my shit when he stuck that triangle though. Gave the double middle finger to the entire bar and had to have my friends tell me it was time to leave because I was pissing everyone off.

I am so glad Silva got a run for his money and didn't get a chance to dance around the ring. I really like Sonnen, for all his funny shit talk and ego, he NEVER stopped hitting Silva. I was enjoying how frustrated he was getting.

But I saw a sub coming...Sonnen wasn't giving him enough credit on the ground and almost got caught a few times. But what a fucking fight. Shit was awesome.

That triangle at the end was the conclusion to one of the most intense fights I've ever seen in my life.

in the end the way i see it is Sonnen beat himself, Silva was barely even present the entire fight except for some good shots in the stand up and a few good elbows from his back. Sonnen got comfortable in a dominant position In a fight he had won got sloppy and got tapped. I know silva was waiting for the opportunity the whole time but in every other round sonnen was tight with his g&p. i would liek to see a rematch, but would also like to see silva get stripped of his title and go domiinate or be dominated at light heavyweight, let the middleweight division get some circulation back into the title position

it will be way more interesting to see exciting fights that the victor could always differ in middleweight and then see anderson actually have to fight to his potential and tear through light heavyweight, or he'll get stomped on at 205(yeah right) drop back down and reclaim his position. it better than seeing anderson silva vs. next victim everytime the middleweight belt is on the line,
oddly enough, as much as I love chael sonnen, in a rematch i see him losing earlier. silva will not underestimate him and will study him and pick his stand up and his takedown attemppts apart. He may be lazy but silva definately doesnt want to lose his belt and he knows that he was only 2.5 minutes away from having that happen.

He's already fought light heavyweight twice. Beat them both. I forgot who the first one was, the second was Forest Griffin. I was very pissed off when he beat Griffin.
