Despoilment seeks live drummer for Fall/Winter shows[views:2695][posts:10]______________________________________ [Aug 7,2010 1:46pm - MetalThursday ""] Despoilment is a Death Metal band based in Central Mass, consisting of members of BURIAL, ACEPHALUS (RIP) & BANE OF EXISTENCE (RIP). Originally active from 2001 to 2003, we recently got back together in early 2010 and played a successful reunion show this past April. We're starting to book some more shows beginning this Fall and are seeking a live drummer to perform with us. This would require learning 10-12 original songs, all under 2:30 each, and possibly a cover song or two as well. All of our original songs have been composed & previously recorded with a drum machine. We don't have to have someone who will copy the drum machine exactly. Just be able to play along without changing the feel of the songs too much. You should be able to handle fast double-kick & some short bursts of blasting. Commitment level is up to you. Some live rehearsals will be necessary, obviously (we don't have a rehearsal space where we can have live drums, so we would have to come to your space), but we can provide you with instrumental tracks set to a click so you could rehearse on your own as much as needed. The three of us are currently split up across Connecticut, Western Mass & Central Mass, so the more that can be done individually, the better. Depending on how things work out, it could turn into more of a long-term gig. Right now we're just focused on the near future. Two gigs in Central Mass are currently booked for late October and mid-November, and we'll probably add at least one more before the end of the year. If all else fails, we'll be doing the shows with the drum machine, but we figured this is worth a try. As for commitment, two of us are married with kids and full-time jobs, one works all the time, and we all live in an hour-away-from-each-other triangle. We're not going to have a busy band schedule, ever. |
