Some claim that it's God's retribution for Nightwish. Here's a video from a beach as it approaches: bennyhillifier This also hit the Sonisphere music festival, where Iron Maiden and a bunch of major acts were playing. The storm dropped silly amounts of hail and rain and apparently destroyed one of the stages (also hit by lightning), ruined Motley Crue's equipment, Iggy Pop's equipment, Alice Cooper's equipment, and Iron Maiden's plane was damaged as well. Slayer lent our their equipment for others to use. Iggy Pop decided on a short acoustic set. Anthrax and Slayer played before the storm hit. “The stage over there is completely fucked. Motley Crue have gone home as their stuff is fucked and our stuff is fucked, but we don’t care,” said Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson when introducing Cooper, “We’re not going home until you go home.” Everything got delayed by about 2 hours.
