We don't have a superior threat we need to match or exceed yet. The F-22 JSF and F-35 have been in development for as long as I can remember but are still not in use. Although Israel just placed an order for some F-35's. Obama killed off the F-22 which is a shame as many believed it to be the superior fighter. We try to get the longest lifespan possible out of our technology before retiring it. Case in point...the space shuttle.[/QUOTE]
