You just fill out the paperwork, they call the feds, if your record's clean, you take gun home. If you want to carry concealed, you go to your town's PD, fill out paperwork with references, they run a background check (2 weeks), and usually with a clean record, you get your carry permit. I can't remember if they charge a small fee for the carry permit, if they do, it's nominal. |
