In NH, on waterbodies that have lake trout (or "togue" for you frenchies) you are allowed 2 lines -- usually we put out 1 tip-up and then jig. I didn't bother with the tip-up yesterday. It was much better huddling in my shelter with the heater on. |

I know some of the guys that catch those monsters during open water will sew on whole suckers and hand-yank with a drop line from their boat. Not sure if they do this through the ice as well.
