Or maybe we're all just dicks, but the 3rd person in a row to fill the second guitar role has quit after a very short run with us. So heres the deal: We practice in the middle of the ghetto in Lowell. Sketchiness aside, our practice space is the basement of an apartment, and it works well and sounds good. We practice a lot and usually on short notice so if you're tied up all the time this may not be the gig for you. We are pretty much done with pre-pro for our full length and will be recording the real deal soon. Be prepared to learn a lot of material on your own. We're all competent musicians in one form or another and will expect a lot from you. You don't have to be perfect but if you don't have the drive to learn the material and improve your chops we'll probably end up being dicks to you. Likewise, if you're passionate about music and don't mind learning complicated things, you'll fit right in. No rockstar attitudes. We're all down to earth guys and are doing this because we love music. That's about that. An open musical mind helps as well as owning a 7 string (a 6 string tuned to drop G sounds like ass). If I'm auditioning at all, I don't want anybody's time to be wasted. Individual parts should be learned and practiced individually so that a band rehearsal can focus on playing as a group. |
