About Argentum Decorum Est:
Hey so The Taste Of Silver has built a recording studio in our basement and we are currently building it even more. We're looking to get more experience working with other bands and doing recording, so we're offering to record demos and such for dirt cheap. Really cheap.
We will also take recording wares (like mics, cable, 4-tracks, etc) in exchange for time.
We will ALSO take soundproofing foam and supplies, too, in exchange, and computer equpment. Ask us what we need or tell us what you have an we'll negotiate.
Our rates are negotiable right now, and ball park we'll say for a 3 song demo it's be $40-$50, depending on how much is involved, and includes the time spent mixing. This rate is negotiable and could be less or more depending on how involved things are. If you're a punk band with one guitar, one bass, and a 4 piece kit, $40 is most likely what you'll spend to get the whole thing sounding nice.
You could also trade mics and stuff, as I mentioned.
Email us to learn more about what we have for equipment and tell us what you want for a project and we can tell you what we can do. We do pretty much all digital but we're working on building analog facilities as well. Recording times are weekends and days, though we can do nights till 8 or 9pm till we finish soundproofing.
We are proficient at recording metal, hardcore, and punk, though we also have some really great techniques for doing acoustic music as well.

c. did you use a cheap ass mic with an on/off switch for the drums?
d. people wont give recording equipment to get recorded

in my ass. im working on a few things now and when i get some server space to upload songs i will if any one is truly interested i can send them a rough mix of some work in progress or some older shit finished(not withh all the current gear,)
