ARE YOU SERIOUS, I wouldnt call it grind Id call it the most musically diverse album converge EVER put out, Id also say that converge really cannot be labeled as metal or hardcore. theyre their own genre. Their earlier stuff did have traces of a fairly modern sounding metal in it, and alot of hardcoresque riffs which were acompanied by some of the best breakdowns ever written, (the end of the saddest day). anyhow I wouldnt label them as either, like i said their theyre own breed. I wanna say bands like Exhumed, Mortician and Impaled are grind but this is obviously going to cause alot of controversy. |

Napalm Death started as Grindcore, along with others Carcass, Unseen Terror, Lawnmower Death,Terrorizer,Bolt Thrower originally. If you want to get specific, you see there was this little sampler put out in 1988 or 1989 that introduced alot of these bands as"Grindcore", not metal this or that. Like I said before though, LABELS SUCK, but get your history right at least. |
