Everyone is going to sound like someone else, even the MOST original bands still sound somewhat like others, just due to the exponentially growing sheer volume of people writting music every year. If this is bothering you, maybe you need to get into different kinds of music.... Of course you don't HAVE to let it bother you... when you get records, you should try and take it for what it is, instead of trying to compare it to other stuff you may or may not like. If you can separate yourself from that, then maybe you'll realize that every band has their own distinctive emotional feel (or lack thereof), and that it's ok to sound like others. |
