For guitars, it's a Boss ST-2 pedal run into a very clean amp channel on my Pod XT Live. Those power stack pedals have tons of tone, I love it. |

I scrapped it because the seam between the two sides was too obvious when I forgot to turn a light on for one of the shots. |

Recorded at Avatar, formerly the Hit Factory. I've tweaked the hell out of it, of course, the dry kit sounds very very very different. I want those steve slate samples, as well as the Metal Foundry expansion. Those are all on the list! guitar - Yeah. A lot of people dropping thousands on axe-fx, new PODs, tube amps, etc... I'm really shocked that the best tone I've gotten thus far is out of a $90 stompbox. The ST-2 is not a typical distortion pedal, it's more like a little stack inside a pedal. A lot of versatility with gain, tone, etc... without having to tweak much at all. Twisting the "sound" knob changes character, tone, and gain structure all at the same time, it's really cool. |
