One of my parents works in the program budgeting department and they've had to make horrible cuts and such in the past several years because of a reduction in federal funding. NPR and PBS wouldn't survive with the same quality programming in a free market because the collective brain of the market is too stupid to realize that long-term investments like: good children's programming, deep investigative reporting and educational programming for adults are good ideas.[/QUOTE]
