Yeah, I doubt the black finish is really THAT rare. (Not to mention, why the fuck would you pay double the price of a guitar just for a different finish?)

Stupid question, how is $1300 double the price? RG3120 prestige goes for $1000+ pretty normally. Regardless of color.

Craigslist troll FAIL.

One just sold for $639.00 used on ebay. SAME MAKE/MODEL GUITAR. SAME CONDITION...

And that's a helluva deal. However, check your past and current auctions, and you'll find (again) that they normally sell for $1000+. You're talking about a guitar that cost like $1500 new.

Also, the color IS rare. It was only made for one year in 1997. I doubt the "only 10 made" claim, but it IS a hard to find color.

[edit] seems the market has come down recently, I've found a few under $1000. However, like I said, even as recently as last fall I saw these going for $1000 or more. '97 was the first run, only year for black, and is only the second Prestige model ever made. He's RIGHT, it's rare. You shoulda jumped on the $600 one.

I think the real question at hand here is who pays that much for an Ibanez?

there's no way in hell I'd ever pay $1300 for a guitar that doesnt have
a high quality neck-thru build. fuck the rest.

There is some confusion here. The person selling the guitar is absolutely correct. The 1997 black model is NOT the model that this person is selling. The 1997 model had regular, centered dots and a "Prestige" logo on the 12th fret. The guitar that this person is selling was part of a run that Guitar Center did in 1999 in which only 10 (or 12) were made. They were originally around $1,500 and are EXTREMELY rare. The ones that you guys are referring to are the more common ones, which are "twilight blue" and "deep red." Those ARE common and go anywhere from $600-$1,000. This seller's guitar IS a rare black model and SHOULD get more than the blue and red ones. So, maybe some of you should do your homework?

Two points,

1) Her fingerbones made the sound of shifting sand when she moved, dry and rasping and barely audible. What once had been a lithe and beautiful body was now a motile corpse, with just a drop of agency remaining. Strange that her fingerprints should remain the same while the rest of her flesh warped, shifted, and shrank. Would they be the last things to vanish into the mold? Fortunately, her plan was about to come to fruition. Gingerly, she levered up the oak floorboard, squirming with the last of her energy into the tight space beneath. Now, waiting.

2) WTF middy, this guitar is basically the least distinctive Prestige you can buy, and the unique tarry stench of Guitar Center resonates out of it with every note. When I was a captain of the line in the Queen's merchant fleet, we used these guitars as rudders for the shoreboats. You should walk out into a field and die quietly of shame.
