| ________________________________ [Sep 21,2011 3:43pm - 0peth ""] Monstro was a VERY pleasant surprise, never even heard of them before, and they kicked ass. :D Milligram was also a surprise as I had never heard of them before either, but they were cool. It felt like I was watching Saint Vitus with Soundgarden and hardcore influences thrown in. Kind of boring, but still B.A. While i've always found The Sword pretty damn boring on recording, they were REALLY impressive live. :D Kyuss pretty much raped every fiber of my being. Easily one of the best bands i've ever seen live. It sucks they didn't play Space Cadet though, especially considering the crowd chanted for it like twice. :/ Also, I had the luck of meeting John(kyuss, vocals) and Nick(kyuss, bass) in Tech Pizza around 4:30 or so that afternoon and I got to talk to them for about 5 minutes. It was awesome. :D |

There were a bunch of people that left right after The Sword, especially people who were up front so the floor did look empty until Kyuss went on. So yeah, it did seem to fill back up. And yeah Kyuss was amazing even with the new guitarist. |
