Get plasma if money is no issue but you can't usually tell the difference between LCD and there are beautiful LCDs out there now. My 3 year old sylvania is still kicking and still awesome. Also don't kill yourself on anything over 60hz, no input uses it and your eyes can't tell mug difference. |

Future sets should have this built in. -the LED local dimming on the panel gives awesome color/contrast but causes a glowing effect when it's white text on a black background. -active 3d glasses (not passive which are cheaper and you don't have to recharge them). but fuck 3d, even with games it's not worth investing in (yet) Definitely not dealbreakers for me, especially at the price I got it for. Glasses were free. Costco has the 55" for $1499.99, so it's worth getting it from there if you can find it in stock in NH. |
