So if we want, we just google map whatever planet we want to look at. The fact that there isn't any mapping satellite constantly circling the moon is suspicious at best. Create a ring of satellites around all the planets so that we can also use them to hop communications. Just think how much easier it would be to talk to Voyager 1 and 2. Then we would know right when it is found by the aliens and achieves consciousness. |

Our limitations of exploration are to a great degree bound by the amount of time we need to maintain resources like oxygen, water, and other things to endure long space voyages, never mind the toll it takes on the body. Real advances in the speed at which we can safely propel an object through space is the real ball game. |
