The curves and hue features only give me so much room to change that before the picture gets too fuzzy and distorted and totally un natural looking. Most of the pics of wren have heavy flash on them so it's pretty hard to match up his pale complexion to most anyone with a tan. If I were better at photoshop I would fix it. But I'm not so take the lulz in stride or homo is you.

Use magic wand or magnetic lasso to select his skin. Create a new layer via copy. Use the color picker to select the color of the tanned skin. Go to blending options for the layer you just created. Do a color overlay using the color you selected from the tanned skin. Tweak the opacity of the color overlay and the opacity of the layer itself until it blends in / looks good. Voila!
