I liked Moore a lot last year and I thought he really could have flourished in this new defense. I like that Mark Anderson is sticking around though. Lee Smith cut, Markell Carter cut, Malcolm Williams cut. I get that they had a lot of draft picks, but this just lends to the already strong suspicion that the Pats put it in cruise control for the 2nd half of this year's draft. These are 3 guys that didn't make a ton of sense to go after in the first place and now they're on the curb. There were guys available that had an actual shot to make an NFL roster and now they're going to work in someone else's camp. If we were switching to a 4-3 then WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T THEY DRAFT MARK HERZLICH. He made the Giants' 53 despite them already having a deep well established linebacker group. Taking Malcolm Williams in the 7th is a slap in the face to Patriots fans. And there's no excuse for Will Yeatman not being on this team as a 3rd TE. He out-worked deaddick Lee Smith and could have been really useful. |
