Black Pyramid is the most obvious one, that was why I quit. Worst local band ever, no substance or originality, sloppy playing bad songwriting, obsession with volume, gear, and pristine studio recordings to cover for the glaring flaws. Lamont. Pete was always a nice guy to me and such, but I never cared for his band, it just did not do it for me. Too many other bands doing it a lot better, but that's the story of the music business, isn't it? I heard that Pete is an awesome realtor though, so why the fuck does he need to play in shitty bands anyways? Good guy + good job > wasting time and money in shitty band.

Since we are being honest I'll try to remember some bands that bored the shit out of me, write boring songs and just can't play their instruments.
Blue Aside - I heard the cd is ok but live, no thanks.
Ravage - This band does not belong on a semi major label.
Aversed - The singer cannot sing while playing guitar at the same time.
Sea of Bones - Crushing but boring.
Frozen - All the talent in the world can't write a song I want to hear. Luckily they cover Rush.
Autolatry - They should stick to playing death metal.
Sorrowseed - Do I really need to elaborate?
Skullhammer - Boring throwback thrash.
Suicide Dream - Great people in this band, just dont dig them as a band.
Holy Sheet - Stupidest band I think I have ever seen.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure their are a LOT more where those came from.

I can def see that with Blue Aside. They are really hit or miss with their live show, but they are still a young band trying to find their feet. I love the CD, but I've seen them close to trainwreck sets, and yeah, those are my boys. Hopefully, touring and some time off have helped them develop as a band.

I like Blessed Offal, they are one of the better DM bands I've heard around, but I think they appeal to me because they incorporate so many elements from black metal and other genres.
Grave Side Service, the dude is a really nice guy. The CD he gave me is pretty good, not exactly my thing, but I respect that, and honestly I have not seen them live, so I cannot comment on that.
The Proselyte...they are tricky. I've seen them through the years, played with them, etc, and it seems like a band that is constantly evolving. I remember when they were doing the Isis/Neurosis thing, but had some really cool rock elements, like extended jams/guitar solos, and it sounded novel in a sense. They just keep searching, and I can respect that. I may not always agree or like all choices that they make as a band, as far as what direction they explore, but fuck it. I'm just one guy.

Let's cut through the B.S. and admit exactly who we're talking about here. There is no official "blacklist", and I am absolutely not going to suck anyone's ass. This is getting ridiculous. Ray, I don't know you very well, but I do know Eirik to be a pretty decent guy, and I feel bad having to tell him that although I would love to book his band again, I don't think it would be a good idea as it would result in a bloodbath of drama that could potentially end what has been more than 5 years of great shows. I've chosen to be professional about this and stay quiet, but enough is enough. Don't expect people to work with you if you can't behave professionally, and you publicly show them complete disrespect. Just stop all of the drama, and do something more productive with your time.
