I was discussing that last night with the fiance as we watched "From Hell." Not a bad movie, but glosses over some Alan Moore's more grandiose ideas on the subjects at hand, particularly one of my favourites, his perception of time and dimensions.
NEWS FLASH: ALAN MOORE FILM ADAPTATION, NOT QUITE UP TO SNUFF BTW, Alan Moore definitely has more than one naked lady altar in his house.
I think it was a good film. You can't cover ever concept explored in a comic in a one and a half to three hour movie, that's why we have both movies, and comics. I actually like all of the movies that have been made out of Alan Moore's work, however, I have not seen the Swamp Thing from the early 80's, and Ang says it is fucking atrocious. Of course, so was Texas Chainsaw Massacre II, and I love that movie. "These are just kids. Just a bunch of wild punks...out raising hell."
