Check, not check, check (emphasis on "relatively"), check, check.

That's a big part of why I'm so confused about why so many atheists are backing such a hardline Evangelical Christian with a voting record like his

Someone explain it please, it has to go deeper than "durrr he'll legalize weed durrr"

Romney's a total samefag. The more I learn about Ron Paul the less I like him. John Huntsman would make a good conservative option but he won't win. Obama will be the next president and the GOP will look more and more ridiculous as congress dives lower. Expansion of executive powers, check.

I don't think his anti-abortion will go further than his own opinion, and it's probably lies just to play GOP baseball. True libertarians would be pro-choice, but the whole "life starts at conception" is probably just a way to bypass that logic and warm the cockles of religious idiots.

My old roommate loves Ron Paul as much as he loves dick, so I don't have any worries about the gay issue. And he's an old white politician, which of those dudes DOESN'T hate black people?

And for the record, I'm not sold on anyone just yet. Elections are always about picking the lesser of the two evils, and it just gets worse each time. Pfftolitics.

Ron Paul Takes on Abortion: 'The Most Important Issue of Our Age'

Fuck Ron Paul, the white nationalists love the shit out of him.

Everyone I've met who vets him is either racist, misogynist, or hates the fuck out of poor people and thinks they should all die because they weren't born into privilege like they were.

oh, fuck Ayn Rand too, biaatchhh

In all honesty, I think trying to reverse Roe v. Wade would be political suicide. Taking a "pro-life" stance is cause enough for me to lose interest in a candidate in the first place, but if anyone ever made a real jab at the Supreme Court's decision, the shit would hit the fan in a big way.

I don't think Ron Paul is great, I just like him better than the other choices currently. It'll come down to Obama v Romney, I won't vote for either, and Obama will take a 2nd term.

Dude delivered like 4000 babies, how do you expect him not to be pro-life? And If I remember correctly he's mainly against late-term abortions where you are basically pulling baby out of a woman and throwing it in the trash. I could be wrong though.. and usually am haha.

He's just playing the "who's a bigger conservative" game. FIMS, you are correct. "It was pretty dramatic for me to see a two-and-a-half-pound baby taken out crying and breathing and put in a bucket." -wiki quote

Obama will win, regardless.

[Jan 12,2012 10:29am - FuckIsMySignature ""]
Right. Obama will win because we keep provoking the shit out of Iran by blowing up their nuclear technicians. sooner later they are going to retaliate and then the American public will either be convinced, or forced to re-elect Obama for another term so the war can play out. fuckin a.

I all about abortion and dont think life begins at conception, but late term abortions are kind of stupid. If you already had the kid in you for that long, have the fucking kid and give it up for adoption.
Some family is willing to spend $40000 to have someone elses' baby. (way too much money)
Which reminds me, I want to start donating semen to sperm banks. You can get a shitload of money just by fapping.

I think his quote was talking about when he was doing his residency, early on in his career. Partial birth abortions are extremely rare nowadays, and will only be done if there's a severe problem. I'm offended that he's perpetuating lies of the pro-life extremists, but I know it's just politicking and he doesn't REALLY care. Kill all the white people.

Because that opinion is too convenient for him to take, in effort to appear more conservative than libertarian. I would lie and say that I'm pro-life if it gets me the support from the party I'm running for. Game of thrones, bro.

While I don't agree with every one of Ron Paul's positions on things I would seriously consider voting for him because he has said numerous times that he would end the war on drugs and stop filling prisons with non violent offenders. Now what a politician says and does usually end up being completely different. All that promised hope and change? That being said, Obama has said flat out that he does not support legalization.

Oh and here's Obama's top contributors. Obama is a lame duck. We had high hopes but he hasn't really delivered and has taken quite an unexpectedly opposite stance than that of his supporters on a lot of very important issues of late.

Normally I would agree with this, but in the case of Ron Paul, he has a 30+ year record of political consistency so it is more likely that he would stick to his guns on promises made.

Whether he intends to stick to his promises or not, he (or anyone else) will get nothing done if Congress decides to block them. Country is broken and can't be fixed, too much money being made by these buttdarts with the current arrangement.

He's always been anti-abortion as far as I'm aware. He's a Christian. It's not all that bizarre for a Christian to be pro-life.

Yep, (R) Lamar Smith is a good and recent example. He just tried claiming that the points made by the opposition to SOPA are entirely hypothetical and that the opposition's opinions don't matter. Yeah cause the creators of google and facebook have no idea how the internet works or anything like that...*FACEPALM*. There has been this shift in politics that intellectualism is unpatriotic and ignorance yields good policy. The U.S. needs to form it's own "pirate" party like they did in Sweden.

His personal stance is he is pro-life. Delivering babies will probably do that to you. But his position as a politician is to leave it up for the states to decide.

He's got a story published somewhere about being forced to conduct a partial-birth abortion while in med school.

He sites that as being the main reason he is against abortion.

I'm not pro life by any means, but I think thats a better reason then "cristian herp derp god loves babies herp kill all the brown ones though derp AMERICA".

Sorry nicc, but lots of practices have changed in over 50 years since he was in Duke med school. He of all people knows the current gynecologic practices, which is why I'm certain he's using that to justify his stance as I've said above. I also think he's a false Christian, just doing it for political reasons. MillenialKingdom, please weigh in.
