Despite being found-footage style, there were too many shots that obviously didn't have an in-world cameraman. Personally, I'm bored by monster-stalking-and-attacking-characters bit. The first half was kind of a drag because of it. But I'm a total sucker for scary-shit-in-woods-at-night stuff, no matter how unoriginal it is, I'm there every time, so I LOVED the whole dolls-in-trees sequence and would happily watch ten more episodes like that. I'll give this at least one more week to hook me but it needs to get me to care about the main characters more. They clearly tried, but it fell a little short this time. |
