I don't know why the band departed so much from the dark-textured but atmospheric metal sound to their guitar/bass/drum mix after this album to more of a stripped down raw rock approach to their songs for the rest of their careers (along with lazier, shorter, subpar songs). The only song after this album that sounds anything like this album is Big Empty on their second release. |
