In Dire Need was the Seven Day Curse of their time, without question. In a time when everyone was trying to think of new and uninteresting ways of forcing emo into generic metalcore IDN started a band that neither metal kids, or hardcore kids would ever really accept but they succeeded anyways. Champion/Comeback kid....bought into a trend, copied everything that Bane and In My Eyes already did years before them, and succeeded only because of the politics of hardcore trends. it's a choice between a show that undoubtedly going to be amazing, and memorable, and a show that will happen again next month with 2 more bands that sound exactly like eachother in some dumbass trend. |
