They wanted $800, I offered $400 (which was still too high) and their manager at the time laughed at me. After a week of negotiating I arranged a deal where we pay them $500 and then brokered the manager into booking a US management deal with Sexcrement which included me giving him a deposit from us on his behalf for his services. Tour fucking tanked. I sessioned with Neuraxis while the Master show happened (I never would have made the deposit months in advance if I knew I was getting a touring gig like that) and NO ONE wanted to deal with this show in place of me while I was gone. Not a single person wanted to be responsible for paying Master and I honestly can't blame them, that show in turned in mess, I got furious phone calls, voice mails and text messages from the manager (who keep in mind was supposed to be managing my band at the time) about how Boston was full of ripoffs and cheats. Tony Lazaro apparently mouthed off to Blue. So here I am on a session tour and unable to access a bank account until 6 weeks later to make the payment, which I finally got done much to the dismay of my bandmates at the time. Fucking nightmare. BUYER BEWARE. Those 3 band tours get ridiculous, especially when it's smaller bands in support of big band that should ideally be able to draw enough to out earn the support acts but it never seems to be that way. |
