Good songs for unaccompanied finger picking?[views:10804][posts:27]_______________________________ [Jan 15,2013 4:57pm - eddie ""] decided to use my classical guitar as a classical guitar finally. I can finger pick to a point but never put that much effort into it. my skill level is around stairway to heaven, the bards song, tears in heaven. Is hybrid worth learning? as far as i can tell it fucks with the dynamics some, could just be that i'm not good at it. |

I always get stuck listening to the masterpiece album 'One Night in San Francisco" which typically leads to a firm "Holy Shit" from me and I never get back at it. I still need to advance my triplet Iron Maiden skills on bass before I really divulge into guitar... |

Litany of Echoes is an awesome album for that. It's not for a beginner, but inspirational nonetheless. the song Classical Gas and any cover of it is also worth looking into |

That could be part of the problem, pick+nylon strings usually sounds pretty weird to me. |

___________________________________________________________ [Jan 16,2013 7:25pm - Big bag of assorted nigger parts ""] There's a lot of P.Floyd material that are fingerpicking tunes that had shit built up around them. "Goodbye Blue Sky" and "If" come to mind immediately, as do some of the strum-type tunes that would be simple to fingerpick like "Mother" and "Wish You Were Here." Hippy stuff. Similarly, I think a lot of Darkthrone stuff would work. |
