Really? I just read this crap.

VIOLENT video games could soon be hit with a sales tax.

US congresswoman Diane Franklin said her proposed tax would help to "finance mental health programs and law enforcement measures to prevent mass shootings."

Since the Sandy Hook massacre in November in which 20 children and six adults were killed, American politicians and lobbyists have been pointing the finger at violent video games as the catalysts for the countless massacres that have occurred in the US over the last 50 years.

it's about time. if only this had happened when i was a lad, i wouldn't have grown up with an insatiable craving to steal people's souls, shoot ice out of my hands, curl into a ball to generate electricity, and shoot imps with a BFG. DAMN YOU!

Gun violence in the U.S. Has actually decreased in the past 10 years. So them blaming FPS so they can squeeze more money out of people is such a scam. I don't see them taxing ticket prices for violent movies in the theater. I think it's funny that people in government would get upset over Call of Duty but will gladly hand an 18 year old a real gun to play Call of Duty in real life.

Just read an article a day to two ago that shows there's no reasonable correlation with the data available between gun violence and violent video game sales.

primary evidence was that countries like japan and south Korea spend much more per-capita for violent video games and the US and have a fraction of gun violence. Also they spend more time playing them.

So dumb... watching politicians from both sides and lobbyists from the NRA talking about videogames, this is what happens when people in DC who don't want to discuss guns try to change the subject. It's videogames! It's music! It's mental health! It's the culture!

Hey... maybe it's interpretive dance!
