+/- effects of sequestration[views:2395][posts:12]___________________________________ [Mar 5,2013 2:14pm - Alx_Casket ""] Post them here. For the first time since 9/11, the TSA will allow retractable knives (with blades shorter then 2.4 inches and narrower than .5 inches at the widest point) as well as a certain bats and sporting sticks in carry-on bags http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/05/t...o-allow-small-knives_n_2812456.html |

Question is, is the bad stuff worth it for getting the defense cuts? Personally, I say yes, because enough military spending means there's no money for anything else; no one would even be talking about having to cut programs for the poor if we hadn't blown over $4T on wars in ten years. Getting rid of overzealous TSA policies on top of it is just a bonus. |

I was not for the war in Iraq, I was actually pretty perplexed about it at the time being only 14 or 15 and really having no knowledge about the realm of politics. Not that the money spent on the Afghanistan war has fed hungry American children but the US at least had a legitimate reason to invade there, though I obviously would've preferred getting out of there way sooner. |
